UXO Risk, Strategy & Compliance Support

Aukssupport provides specialist UXO risk, strategy, and compliance support for developers, contractors, and organisations navigating complex regulatory, operational, and technical requirements.

When UXO considerations influence design approvals, certification, planning, procurement, or contractor oversight, Aukssupport offers the senior technical judgment and independent verification needed to move confidently through each stage.

What I deliver:

• UXO risk and strategy support for early-stage or ongoing projects
Independent interpretation of UXO risk assessments, scopes, geophysical data, clearance strategies, and regulatory expectations to ensure your project starts on the right technical footing.

• Project engineering support

From shaping tender requirements and technical-commercial offers to reviewing engineering decisions, coordinating interfaces, and supporting communication with authorities.

• Independent technical support for developers (design, FEED, and execution phases)
Guidance to ensure that UXO considerations are correctly integrated into design decisions, tender requirements, interface management, SIMOPS planning, and regulatory submissions.

• Pre-certification and audit support for contractors and service providers
Review of internal UXO processes, documentation, personnel certifications, and equipment readiness ahead of client audits, approvals, or recertification.

• Package management & technical oversight for developers
Support in managing UXO, survey, or ID&C packages, from reviewing contractor deliverables to ensuring alignment between scope, execution, and regulatory requirements.

• Training and awareness for project teams
Tailored remote or on-site briefings to give project managers, engineers, HSE teams, and vessel crews practical understanding of UXO risks, decision points, and correct escalation.

Operational UXO Identification & Render-Safe EOD Support

Aukssupport provides specialist UXO identification and render-safe expertise for offshore situations where on-site teams reach the limits of standard procedures.

When UXO cannot be confidently identified, when classification remains uncertain, or when disposal strategy requires senior EOD judgement, we support offshore ID teams, contractors, and vessel operators with decisive, experience-driven guidance.

With more than 25 years of naval and offshore EOD field experience, Aukssupport assists with:

  • Remote support to offshore ID teams when identification cannot be established
  • Expert confirmation of ambiguous ID&C results
  • Technical input to determine safe approach, exposure, and intervention limits
  • Render-safe strategy selection (low-order, high-order, lifting, relocation)
  • Independent review of disposal options, RSP feasibility, and risk profile
  • Operational decision support during live offshore operations
  • Senior management in complex, time-critical UXO/ EOD clearance situations

This service ensures that offshore teams have direct access to senior EOD expertise when decisions must be safe, defensible, and operationally realistic, not theoretical. Drop a photo, video or investigation report for review in the contact page and get the ball rolling.

Why clients choose this service

Because when an item is sitting on the seabed and nobody is 100% sure what it is or how to approach it, you don’t need a consultant, you need a technical authority who has made those decisions in the field.

Clear judgment, Senior expertise and Operational confidence.

IMAS Certification Overview

IMAS EOD Level 3+ Technician

Certified at the EOD & Demining School in Kosovo, the IMAS EOD Level 3+ qualification represents one of the highest internationally recognised benchmarks for independent EOD operators. The certification confirms advanced competence in the identification, disposal, and render-safe procedures of a wide spectrum of munitions, including air-dropped weapons, guided weapons, sub-munitions, demolitions, storage, transport of explosives, and bulk disposal operations.
This qualification demonstrates professional capability to manage complex EOD tasks, lead operational teams, and execute advanced disposal techniques in accordance with International Mine Action Standards (IMAS).

IMAS 09.60 Level 3+ Maritime Technician

The IMAS 09.60 Level 3+ Maritime Technician certification verifies specialist competence in maritime UXO operations, including underwater explosive ordnance recognition, render-safe procedures (RSP), safe access, transportation of explosives, disposal planning, remediation, and post-task operational documentation.
Assessed at the MAT Kosovo EOD & Demining School, this qualification ensures the capability to operate safely and effectively within marine environments, bridging the gap between traditional EOD skills and the unique demands of subsea and coastal clearance operations.

IMAS Low Order Techniques (LOT) Training

Completed at MAT Kosovo, this specialised Low Order Techniques training covers a wide range of controlled deflagration and low-order disruption methods used to minimise environmental impact during offshore disposal.
The course includes live-fire practicals and advanced techniques such as thermite charges, linear cutting charges, rocket wrench, de-armer tools, shock tube systems, and underwater deflagration methods. These competencies support safer, reduced-impact disposal of sensitive munitions, with emphasis on lowering NEQ effects, underwater noise peaks, and bubble-jet influence, critical for modern offshore UXO mitigation.
