This senior CS-OOO certification recognises the holder as a qualified specialist in the detection, investigation, and removal of explosive remnants of war (ERW) and other unexploded ordnance (UXO) in civil and offshore environments. The scheme is administered by VOMES under the Dutch regulatory framework for safe handling of explosive materials

Holders of this certificate are authorised to:

Supervise and approve detection and clearance operations for ERW/UXO in accordance with sub-areas A (detection) and B (civil engineering support) of the CS-OOO scheme.
Ensure compliance with national safety and traceability requirements for UXO mitigation efforts in terrestrial and marine settings.
Act as the technical lead for contractors and survey teams performing UXO investigations in The Netherlands under the CS-OOO standard.

By holding this certificate, the specialist demonstrates both the required training and experience to manage high-complexity UXO risk scenarios, ensuring that survey, identification, clearance and disposal processes meet regulatory and operational best-practice standards.
